It is rare that I provide feedback on any hotel, but I felt that in the case of Normandy Le Chantier, they are deserving of my time. Neither my wife nor I had been to Paris since school and it was our teenage daughter's first trip, and so we had no expectations, other than the photos of the hotel which drew us to book with you in the first place. From the outset, the reception staff were welcoming as we left our bags early in the day to start exploring, and the colourful reception was intriguing. We returned later in the day tired and found our room. Stunningly and querkily decorated, with the longest sink we've ever seen and a walk-in shower with two showers, we were impressed. Our daughter, who is ready for her own hotel room, loved that she had a separate area to us with her own TV. So to the next morning and the breakfast room is stunning, an extremely tall and absolutely stunning room, let alone the breakfast which was delicious and the word continental does not do it justice. Later, we tried the Mexican restaurant, which is part of the hotel. It is a short menu, but that did not matter as the food was tasty, as were the cocktails. That a fussy eater loved it, says it all. Our final treat of our far too few days here was to try the creperie... to find we wish we'd been more than once. Normandy Le Chantier and its staff gave us a wonderful and relaxed trip to Paris. Thank you, and we'll recommend you to anyone, and we'll be back.

When entering the hotel for the first time, the lobby may look somewhat peculiar and artistic, but you quickly get accustomed to that. As is mentioned on the hotel’s website, it is still under reconstruction (summer 2024, le chantier = the construction site). Although some reviews suggest otherwise, we did not experience any hindrance from reconstruction activities (maybe because of the holidays). The room we had, with a separate bedroom, was spacious compared to Paris standards. Also it was well maintained, quite modern, very clean and very quiet. The hotel is at a wonderful central location, just 100 meters from the Louvre museum. within walking distance of many other Paris highlights, with a nearby metro station (Pyramides) to bring you anywhere in Paris and with many restaurants and cafés in the direct vicinity. We found the breakfast to be very good, with coffee/cappuccino freshly made for you, fresh orange juice and ample choice of food. The staff are very friendly, always willing to help. All in all, a very nice stay at a perfect location.

The hotel is located in a historic, renovated building in the city center, just a few steps from the Louvre. The room is very cozy and tastefully decorated, spacious, bright, and most importantly—quiet. The bathroom is large and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast room features a unique interior design. There are many charming cafés and restaurants around the hotel. Numerous important landmarks and museums are within walking distance. Truly an excellent place to stay.

Perfect location, extraordinarily nice staff, beautiful Belle Époque hotel being lovingly restored. Our room overlooked lively Rue St-Honore, which is lovely, but the massive casement windows kept our room as silent as the tomb at night. We loved the “work-in-progress” vibe, which was limited to hallways. Our room was huge by Paris standards, and the king bed was first-rate. Breakfast was great.

The hotel is excellently located right in the city center. You can reach the luxury stores by crossing two small bridges. There are plenty of dining and drinking options nearby, and the scenery along the Limmat River is particularly beautiful. The staff on the first floor are extremely nice and friendly. They offered a great deal of help. I will definitely stay here again next time I come.
